What is Clean Beauty?
What is Clean Beauty?
At Nootka and Sea clean beauty means ensuring locally, ethically and mindfully created products that are good for you and the environment. We use these principles to guide the business when formulating our very own skincare line. Clean beauty is defined as products made without ingredients shown or suspected to harm human health. Wow! It is hard to believe that these types of products would even be available for customers to buy. However, unfortunately they are, and it isn’t always easy to navigate the beauty world.
Mikki, our Founder, started Nootka and Sea as she truly believed people deserved more and wanted to be able to champion the benefits of using clean and natural ingredients for the same or if not better outcomes.
It is our mission to ensure products are high performing and toxin free. Clean, for Nootka and Sea, means a formulation that does not include any of the nasties including BHA, parabens, BHT and phthalates. But it also means clean in intentions. We believe skincare should provide you the results you want whilst still being great for your skin, and your overall health and wellness.

We also like to use gamma linoleic acids, omega fatty acids, as well as vitamins A, B, D & E, making our products rich in proteins and natural antioxidants.
